Wedding Toasts, Vancouver, BC

Wedding Quotes for Wedding Toasts and Wedding Speeches
Wedding toasts are a very interesting concept. The wedding day is quite likely the most important day in the life of the couple. If there is a formal ceremony, there are several other people involved - parents, bridesmaids, the best man, relatives, and guests. The wedding day is the occasion for them to make a toast to each other. Given below are quotations that you can use in wedding toasts. If you want to recommend some of your favorite Wedding Toasts or Wedding Quotations for this page, fill out the quotations suggestion form.

Wedding Toast, From the Bride to the Groom or
From the Groom to the Bride
Here's to the prettiest, here's to the wittiest,
Here's to the truest of all who are true,
Here's to the neatest one, here's to the sweetest one,
Here's to them, all in one - here's to you.

To the Groom
Here's to the groom, a man who keeps his head though he loses his heart.

To the Bridesmaids
A thing of beauty is a joy forever. Here's to these beautiful bridesmaids.

We admire them for their beauty, respect them for their intelligence, adore them for their virtues, and love them because we can't help it.

To the Bride
May she share everything with her husband, including the housework.

Wedding Toast, From the Groom to the Bride
She knows all about me and loves me just the same.

Wedding Toast, From the Parents of the Bride and Groom
It is written: when children find true love, parents find true joy. Here's to your joy and ours, from this day forward.

To the Gathering
Let us toast the health of the bride;
Let us toast the health of the groom,
Let us toast the person that tied;
Let us toast every guest in the room.

To the Bride and Groom
Look down you gods, and on this couple drop a blessed crown.

Remember that if you ever put your marital problems on the back burner they are sure to boil over.

Happy marriages begin when we marry the one we love, and they blossom when we love the one we married.

My greatest wish for the two of you is that through the years your love for each other will so deepen and grow, that years from now you will look back on this day, your wedding day, as the day you loved each other the least.

It don't matter where you get your appetite, as long as you eat at home!

May the best day of your past be the worst day of your future.

Marriage: A community consisting of a master, a mistress, and two slaves - making in all, two.

May the roof above you never fall in and may you both never fall out.

To the lamp of love - may it burn brightest in the darkest hours and never flicker in the winds of trial.

May 'for better or worse' be far better than worse.

The man or woman you really love will never grow old to you.
Through the wrinkles of time, through the bowed frame of years,
You will always see the dear face and feel
The warm heart union of your eternal love.

May you have many children
and may they grow mature in taste
and healthy in colour
and as sought after
as the contents of the glass.

Halloween Party Drinks

Haunting Halloween Cocktails

A lot of what makes Halloween what it is is the creation of a spooky atmosphere and anything and everything involved in a party can be converted from mundane to eerie very easily. Cocktails are no different. These haunting drinks are great ghastly additions to the Halloween theme: some are black as night while others have mysterious creatures hiding in the depths, all are a lot of fun. Also, have fun with garnishing, think of dressing up your drinks like you would yourself. Here are somecreepy cocktail garnish ideas...

The swamps of the bayou can be one of the scariest places and this cocktail has that same mystery of what could possibly be underneath that top layer of slime. It's really a great drink, sort of a creamy Mojito

Black Martini

Black is the signature color for All Hallows Eve so why not make your Martini match the occasion? If black raspberry or blackberry flavors are not your thing, try a regular Vodka Martini made with Blavod (a black vodka).

Bloody Rum Punch

Think of this punch as a blood red sangria that leaves the decorations around the punch bowl open to your creepy imagination. The drink is very simple and will appeal to many palates. By allowing you costumed guests to help themselves you're free to mix and mingle with the goblins and ghouls.

Bloody-tini

Sorry, no blood in this Bloody-tini, but it does have a deep red hue that could make your Halloween guests wonder. It is actually a very pleasant and light, making it an excellent and elegant cocktail for any affair.

Candy Corn

You will find that this cocktail doesn't taste exactly like the sweet candy it is named for, but it is just as sweet and delectable. The key ingredient is a special gin infusion of kettle corn, which is combined with a sweet dessert wine and unique syrup. The real candy corn does come in for a garnish also, giving you something to nibble.

Corpse Reviver

Many of us have felt like a corpse the morning after one too many drinks and there is a set of drinks designed specifically for reviving the living dead on just such an occasion. The Corpse Reviver is a brandy-based drink and itsclassic counterpart, the Corpse Reviver #2, is an old-school gin take on the remedy. Many more renditions have been brewed up over the years, one of the most recent is the Corpse Reviver #2011. Any of these are perfect for the task of reversing that zombie-esque feeling or kicking your haunted night off right.

Devil's Handshake

The Devil's Handshake is one of my favorite Halloween-worthy mixed drinks. It's talk, refreshing and has a spicy ginger side amongst all the sweet fruit.

Dracula's Kiss

Here's a highball straight from Dracula's lips to yours. The red and black layers recreate the frightening atmosphere of a castle deep in Transylvania. At the door of this fortress smooth flavors of black cherry cola greet you and are accented with sweet grenadine that surges from the depths of the concoction.

Green Ghoul

Sweet and spicy, the Green Ghoul will be a hit at your monster bash. The key to the beautiful and ghastly cocktail is the webbing of black licorice, which by the time you get to the bottom of the glass is infused with sweet melon and snappy herbs.

Eyeballtini (Gin Martini with Carved Radish Garnish)

Veins and all, this carved radish eyeball is a fantastic accent for a classic gin martini. Up the creep factor by leaving the “optic nerve” (or hairy root end) attached.

Purple People Eaters (Gummi Worm Shooters)

Concoct semisolid shooters using different juices, jellies and alcohol to pop right out of their cups into waiting mouths. For nonalcoholic shooters, replace vodka with additional juice.

Alien Autopsy Cocktail

Blue curacao (orange-flavoured liqueur) gives this vibrant, glowing shooter cocktail its eerie greenish colour. Float a blackberry “brain” for a gruesome garnish.

The Devil's Black Martini

Black vodka and a black olive give just the right gothic hue to this martini.

Goblin Face Caesar-tini

Pickle juice, horseradish and hot sauce add their zesty kicks to this cocktail.

Rotten Apple Martini

A gummi worm garnish adds a whimsical touch to this sour green martini.

Fiery Bloody Marys with Cucumber Spears

Particularly enticing to creatures who drink blood, this Bloody Mary is a little spicy. You can lighten up on the horseradish, hot pepper sauce and vodka if you like. For the virgin version, omit the vodka entirely.

Christmas Party Cocktails

Happy Holiday Cocktails

The holidays are a favorite time of year for many people. This cheery season is filled with parties and events that bring the spirit of the season out in everyone. As a part of these festivities there are some wonderful drinks that you can serve that fit the holiday theme perfectly. Traditional warm drinks are a great place to start and we cannot forget the wonders of eggnog (a drink that should be on everyone's Christmas list). Beyond those Christmas classics, the drinks listed below make great additions to any party or casual holiday gathering. Happy Holidays!

1. Angel's Delight

Creamy, pink and absolutely delightful, the Angel's Delight is a fabulous cocktail for those little indulgences we allow ourselves during the holidays. This semi-classic cocktail is ideal for dessert, but takes that genre into a different realm because of the underlying gin.

2. Candy Cane

Create a candy cane in a glass complete with peppermint, chocolate and berry flavors. This is a delectable dessert drink that is further sweetened with a crushed peppermint candy rim.

3. Christmas Jones

This sweet highball drink begins with a blend of strawberries, pineapple and vodka and is topped with lemon-lime soda for a refreshing holiday cocktail. It's topped with a mint garnish that adds a little cheer to the final presentation and is a great all-around holiday drink for two.

4. Dreaming of Zen

You may be dreaming of a white Christmas and the kids of all the great presents that Santa is going to drop off, but for many of us the dream of the holiday season is just a little peace. That is where this calming cocktail comes in. The mix of fruits combines beautifully with Zen Green Tea Liqueur and cream for a soothing cocktail to help you zen out.

5. Eggnog

What would the holidays be without eggnog? It is a tradition and one that some love to follow while others are fine with passing on. Eggnog has developed over the years into a variety of forms and whether you're looking for the traditional punch or single cocktail versions or one of the newer adaptations, there may be a nog in this list that suits your needs.

6. English Christmas Punch

Warm up your holidays with this wonderful punch recipe. It's also fun to make because it involves flaming the drink, which is always a spectacular sight, but in this case it's an entire punch bowl. This punch has a dark rum base that is enhanced by the flavors of red wine and tea. The recipe is for 27 servings, making it a great holiday party punch.

7. Grinch

Go green with this cocktail named for Dr. Seuss' classic holiday character. The red garnish is a symbol of the good heart that lies inside every Grinch. After one or two of these melon-flavored drinks even the meanest Grinch will have a smile on their face.

8. Holiday Hopper

Melon, mint, chocolate and cream may not be the most likely of mixes, but the Holiday Hopper is one example that shows that it is a very viable taste. This pale green cocktail is absolutely delicious and an indulgence you deserve amid all of the holiday hoopla.
